The New Orleans Baby Cakes topped the Edmonton Edge, 6-2, in Pacific Coast League action at Field of the Edge. The game was highlighted by the performance of New Orleans pitcher Jason Long. The Baby Cakes improved to 43-32.

New Orleans used the hitting of Paul Madison to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Baby Cakes on top, 3-0. For the game, Madison had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Long. "It sure beats the alternative."
