Down to Defeat Go Sidewinders, 4-1
|
Reno Aces starter Jimmy Marsh pitched his team past the Tucson Sidewinders, 4-1. The setback makes Tucson 41-35.
Reno catcher Falk Baltayan contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a splitter to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 21st hit of the season and put the Aces ahead, 1-0.
Said losing manager Jose Cardona: "I think Susan Sarandon said it, 'Hit it where they ain't.' We didn't do a very good job of that tonight."
