Express Spoil Great Performance by Jasso
|
Despite a great performance by Oklahoma City right fielder Victorino Jasso, the Round Rock Express defeated the Wranglers by the score of 9-6 at Wranglers Ballpark. Jasso went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Mancelo Gil picked up the save, his 7th. After today's action, Round Rock sits at 43-33, while Oklahoma City falls to 36-40.
Round Rock needed the clutch hitting of Giosue Ceverini to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Express on top, 7-3. For the game, Ceverini had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Ceverini told the Round Rock Citizen.
