The Evansville Triplets powered past the Omaha Storm Chasers, 8-5, at BB&T Stadium. John Morton was 1-2 with 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs, to lead the charge. Picking up the win was Théo Lord. He went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits. The right--hander struck out 3 and walked 2. Seth Dickie locked down his 3rd save.

Haines Wilson Jr. had a big 2-run double for the Triplets in the bottom of the first inning. With Evansville trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Wes Dempsey and swatted a double to center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Triplets ahead, 2-1.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Morton.

Evansville, at 48-23, is cruising.
