Storm Chasers Skid Hits 9 Games
|
Oklahoma City shortstop Maverick Flood helped his team beat the Omaha Storm Chasers, 7-2. Flood, who is tied for 7th in the PCL in hits with 73, went 3 for 5 for the Wranglers. Berk Rahr came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. Omaha has now lost 9 consecutive games.
Case Poe, the 25-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Poe contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Oklahoma City up, 3-1.
"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Angel Romo, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
