Wayne Kapp was nothing short of phenomenal for the Tacoma Rainiers. The 26-year-old left-hander was a big reason his team beat the Round Rock Express, 3-1. The win lifted the Tacoma record to 49-23.

Ed Chiasson took Round Rock hurler Jesse Romo deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Rainiers on top, 3-1. In all, Chiasson had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"Not enough offensively in a winnable game," said losing manager John Flynn.
