Nashville Tacks 7-3 Loss on Reno
|
At Blues Stadium, the Reno Aces and Nashville Sounds were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Nashville Sounds trumped the Reno Aces, 7-3, at Blues Stadium. Nashville shortstop Hunter Hicks was terrific. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Lance Gray. He's now 5-5. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits for the Sounds.
Hicks contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Nashville in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Hicks took a fastball from Osmond Walker and stroked the home run to center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Sounds to leap in front, 4-2.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Hicks.
With the win over Reno, the Sounds improved to 33-38.
