Savich goes 3-for-4 to Power Rainiers Offense
Behind a fine performance from Jack Savich, the Tacoma Rainiers knocked off the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 5-4. Savich went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Rainiers. Harvey Allison came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-1. Janito Ceita was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 24 of 25 save opportunities.

Savich had a timely hit for Tacoma in the bottom of the eighth. With Winnipeg trailing 4-1, he turned a first pitch fastball into a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Tacoma.

"I still think this team can play even better," Savich told the Tacoma Observer.

Tacoma currently is in first place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division at 43-26.
