Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Albuquerque Isotopes and Tacoma Rainiers.

The Albuquerque Isotopes knocked off the Tacoma Rainiers, 4-3, in Pacific Coast League action at Cheney Stadium. Albuquerque pitcher and Lakeside, Florida, native Mike Watford had an outstanding performance. In 5 innings, Watford surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Isaias Williams closed it out for Albuquerque, earning his 6th save.

Albuquerque won the game in part because of Theodore Holtry. The first baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Isotopes ahead, 3-0. For the game, Holtry had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.
