Southwest University park played host to some dramatic action.

The El Paso Chihuahuas outlasted Connor Zambrano and the Inland Empire 66ers, 8-7. Zambrano was impressive in the loss. The Inland Empire center fielder was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win went to Frasquito Duran in relief, making him now 5-1. Samuel Abbott took the loss for Inland Empire.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for El Paso. That's when Ibrahim Izaguirre hit a 2-run double off 30-year old right-handed pitcher Samuel Abbott to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Izaguirre.

The Chihuahuas are now 33-37.
