Great Stroke: Simons Gets 5 Hits
The Honolulu ThunderSharks stopped the El Paso Chihuahuas by a score of 8-5 at Smith's Ballpark, with the lion's share of the credit going to first baseman Julian Simons. The 26-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Simons said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Simons did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Chihuahuas.

"Not much that I can say," offered El Paso manager Sydney Lynn. "He just hammered the heck out of us."
