Neal, HarbourCats Bear Down, Beat Edge, 1-0
|
The Edmonton Edge and Victoria HarbourCats delighted fans at Security Service Field.
In a low-scoring game between the Victoria HarbourCats and the Edmonton Edge, pitcher Tom Neal was masterful on the mound. The Victoria right-hander spearheaded his team's 1-0 win. Picking up his 1st save was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Adrian Brown.
Neal made it look easy. He scattered 4 hits over 8 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The right-hander upped his season record to 2-0.
"I had a good game plan," said Neal. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Ricky Ugalde said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
Victoria is 8th in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division with a record of 29-37.
