A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Sacramento River Cats and Nashville Sounds.

The Sacramento River Cats beat the Nashville Sounds, 7-0. Sacramento pitcher and Pedley, California, native Randy Flowers led the way. Sacramento is 32-32 and Nashville, with the loss, 31-33.

With two out in the bottom of the first, Jayson Davis put Sacramento in front, 2-0, with a 2-run single. The River Cats went on to win the ballgame.

"You just play the game as right as you can and see where you end up," said River Cats manager Brandon Holmes.
