Rainiers Defeat ThunderSharks, 4-2

The Honolulu ThunderSharks and Tacoma Rainiers left the fans buzzing.
Behind an impressive start by J. David Thomas, Tacoma beat Honolulu, 4-2. In 5.1 innings, Thomas surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. Janito Ceita finished the game for Tacoma and earned his 22nd save.
The Rainiers got a big at-bat from third baseman Don Young. For the game, Young was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Tacoma a 3-1 lead.
Postgame, Rainiers manager Danny Jennings complimented Thomas. "No question about it. Giz was terrific."
The Rainiers are now 39-24, while the ThunderSharks fall to 32-31.
