Aces Dumped, 3-1, by Victoria
|
Kent Glisson did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Reno Aces from being beaten, 3-1, to the Victoria HarbourCats at Security Service Field. Glisson was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. Flynn Yin, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 4 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. Armen Cross picked up the save for Victoria, his 1st of the year.
In the top of the ninth, Kenny Hayenga stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Aces were trailing 3-1, but had the bases loaded. That's when Armen Cross made a terrific pitch and Hayenga grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Reno comeback.
The HarbourCats improved to 34-28.
