The Nashville Sounds defeated the Reno Aces, 5-2, at First Tennessee Park. Nashville designated hitter Jackson Ketron had a superb performance. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win went to Samuel Heck in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Ryder Harris took the loss. Picking up the save was Jimmy Jay Sherry, his 1st.
The Sounds got a big at-bat from left fielder Frankie Ravelo. For the game, Ravelo went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 8th double of the season gave Nashville a 2-1 lead.
"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Reno manager Ross Winfrey.
Nashville has now won 5 in a row.
