Inland Empire wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Kenneth Greca, falling to the Tacoma Rainiers, 2-1. Greca threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Janito Ceita, credited with the save, is now 20 for 21 in save opportunities. The Rainiers lead the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division by 3 games.

Tacoma took a 2-1 lead on Orion Van Court's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Inland Empire pitcher Nick Thompson in the bottom of the eighth.

"You don't always need a lot of runs to win," said Van Court. "Sometimes you need just one or two."
