The Tacoma Rainiers topped the Inland Empire 66ers, 5-3, in Pacific Coast League action at Cheney Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Tacoma pitcher and Carrollton, Texas, native Shane Daksi. Pete Rivello notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record now sits at 2-1. With the victory, the Rainiers record now stands at 36-23.

In the bottom of the seventh, Tacoma left fielder Cosmo Cullum hit a run-scoring single to center field. The clutch hit made it, 4-3, Rainiers.

"I really like what we did out there today," Cullum said after the game.
