Both offenses were relatively subdued at Dell Diamond. Fortunately for the Round Rock Express, though, Samuel Quixote was able to deliver in the clutch. He went 2-4 with 2 singles, to lead his team past the Omaha Storm Chasers, 2-0. The win was credited to Ares Dussault in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Malepa Tswana took the loss. Ron Black earned save number 5 this season.

Merandy Rojas had a big solo home run for the Express in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Round Rock leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Peyton Montenegro and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Express on top, 2-0.

"Scoring was at a premium tonight," Quixote said.

The 7th-place Express improved to 28-30.
