Wranglers Win Nail-Biter
|
BB&T Stadium was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.
The Oklahoma City Wranglers relied on a great performance from Payton Bush, who is tied for 4th in the PCL in quality starts with 7, to beat the Evansville Triplets, 2-1, in 15 innings at BB&T Stadium. Oklahoma City is 29-29 and Evansville, with the loss, 32-26.
Tad Epstein came through with a big-time hit for Oklahoma City. The catcher smacked a solo home run in the top of the 15th inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Epstein told the Oklahoma City Chronicle: "I was born for the big stage."
