Edmonton Loses, 4-3, to Winnipeg in 11
|
The Winnipeg Goldeyes snuck past the Edmonton Edge, 4-3, in 11 innings. Winnipeg pitcher Josh Witmer, in particular, had a standout performance. Their 38-21 record puts the Goldeyes first in the Pacific Coast League American Divison.
The Goldeyes got a clutch hit from catcher Milo Billingsley. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Goldeyes.
"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Edmonton manager Aarón Lomeli.
