Behind a fine performance from Steve Walker, the Edmonton Edge knocked off the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 6-4. Walker went 3-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Edge. Edmonton is 28-30 and Winnipeg, with the loss, 37-21.

Edmonton used a clutch at-bat from Lark Coleman to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Edge ahead, 5-3. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Walker told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
