Reno Drops Another One, 7-5
|
Reno third baseman Wyatt Popp had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-5, to New Orleans at Zephyr Field. Popp went 4 for 4 with 4 singles. The win was credited to 26-year old right-handed pitcher Quincy Alcock in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Jason Harmon took the loss. Jason Long wrapped it up, recording his 4th save.
Guilhermino Rodríguez chipped in a 2-run home run for New Orleans in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Rodríguez said.
New Orleans has rattled off 7 straight wins.
