Albuquerque got a first-rate effort from pitcher DeShane Shaver, who frustrated Evansville hitters en route to a 3-1 Isotopes triumph at Isotopes Park. Shaver picked up the win for Albuquerque, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 4-3. Finley Harper earned the save for Albuquerque, his 2nd.

Brooks Hudyaev hit a 2-run triple off Xavier Roy in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Isotopes in front, 2-1. Hudyaev had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 3.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Albuquerque skipper Germaine Botha. "I can't complain."

The 5th-place Isotopes go to 25-24.
