Starting pitcher Kayden Chin fulfilled his part of the bargain, helping the Iowa Cubs stymie the Sacramento River Cats, 5-2. Chin yielded 2 runs over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-2. Roger Estrada earned save number 2.

Trent Wheeler had a big 2-run home run for the Cubs in the top of the second inning. With Iowa leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a sinker from Étienne Laliberté, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2055 draft, and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Cubs on top, 4-0.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Chin.
