Reuter Finds Groove in 6-1 Triumph
|
The Inland Empire 66ers knocked off the Evansville Triplets, 6-1. Inland Empire starter Mario Reuter pitched a gem. Inland Empire is now 25-25, while Evansville is 23-27.
Reuter was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 6-1. In 9 innings of work, Reuter gave up 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 8. The Triplets were never able to generate much offense.
"I'll be honest," said Reuter. "I didn't have much left in the tank."
