Storm Chasers 3-2 Victors Over Round Rock
|
The Omaha Storm Chasers and Round Rock Express played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.
Randy Najera knocked in all 3 runs for the Omaha Storm Chasers, helping them beat the Round Rock Express, 3-2. Quint Anders got credit for the win, improving to 1-3. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 6.2 innings. Carter Eich closed out the game, earning his 2nd save.
Omaha took a 3-0 lead on Najera's 13th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Carlos Parra in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Omaha to the win.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Round Rock manager Chris York. "But we decided not to take it."
The Storm Chasers move to 17-35 with the win, while the Express drop to 30-22.
