Thomas Launches 2 Dingers, But Evansville Wins
|
Sacramento designated hitter Dane Thomas had a good game, even if his team did not. The River Cats dropped a 4-2 decision to Evansville at BB&T Stadium. Thomas went 4-4 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. Picking up his 2nd save was 30-year old right-handed pitcher Seth Dickie. Evansville is sailing along at 35-13.
T.J. Gonzáles contributed to the Evansville win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"Do what you're good at," said Evansville manager Mike McGarry. "That's all I ask of the team."
