The Tacoma Rainiers and Winnipeg Goldeyes delighted fans at NBT Bank Stadium.

Morgan Hood did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Tacoma Rainiers from being beaten, 7-6, to the Winnipeg Goldeyes at NBT Bank Stadium. Hood went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winner in relief was Isaiah Black. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. He now owns a record of 3-3.

The Goldeyes got a big at-bat from catcher Jerrell McClendon. For the game, McClendon was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave Winnipeg a 2-1 lead.

"It's still just a game," said McClendon, "whether you win or lose."

The Rainiers, now 26-22, have lost 4 straight.
