Rallying Sounds Get 3-2 Win
|
The Nashville Sounds snuck past the Tacoma Rainiers, 3-2, in 10 innings. Nashville pitcher Samuel Heck, in particular, had a standout performance. Timmy Linder picked up the win in relief for Nashville, while Alton Stockton took the loss. So far in 2060, Nashville is 22-25.
The Sounds got a clutch hit from designated hitter Dale Stern. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Sounds.
"Samuel was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Nashville manager Jose Maldonado.
