Extra-Inning Win by Chihuahuas Over Sounds
|
El Paso Chihuahuas starter Vicente Gaytan turned in a sterling performance against the Nashville Sounds, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. El Paso reliever Robert Lacoste picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Willie Beaulieu was saddled with the loss. El Paso, at 31-17, is 2 games up in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division.
The Chihuahuas procured the win, in large part because of second baseman Tre Murry. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Gaytan.
