Isotopes Sting Baby Cakes, 4-1
|
The Albuquerque Isotopes went home winners at Isotopes Park, thanks in large part to starter Carlos Osorio. Osorio stifled the New Orleans Baby Cakes, enabling Albuquerque to grab the 4-1 win. Benicio Peralta, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The 7th-place Isotopes lifted their record to 22-26.
The Isotopes got a big at-bat from right fielder Anderson Chase. For the game, Chase went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Albuquerque a 2-1 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Albuquerque manager Carlos Becerra. "It's usually not just one thing."
