Chihuahuas Rally to Eke Out Win
The El Paso Chihuahuas beat the Victoria HarbourCats, 5-4, at Security Service Field. El Paso third baseman Ray Funchica led the way. He went 4 for 6 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2. The winner in relief was Frasquito Duran. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-1. The 8th-place Chihuahuas go to 21-26.

It could have been a different outcome for El Paso, had it not been for Terry Redden, the 24-year old right fielder . Redden contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put El Paso up, 5-4.

"Sweet win for us, tough loss for them," said Redden.
