The Victoria HarbourCats beat the Honolulu ThunderSharks, 2-0, at Security Service Field. Starting pitcher Desmond Scales was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Lee Vincent recorded the save for Victoria, his 2nd of the season. The 5th-place HarbourCats go to 23-23.

Yan Marín went 1-2 for Victoria. The 27-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Frans Parish. It was his 4th RBI of the season.

"This team is capable of getting on a roll," said Victoria skipper Alejandro Travieso.
