Honolulu ThunderSharks starter Pokey Scott was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Victoria HarbourCats, 4-3. Honolulu reliever Rafael Magana picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Lee Vincent was saddled with the loss. Jacob Jordan recorded the save for Honolulu, his 4th of the season.

Ismael Garufo, the 26-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Garufo contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Honolulu up, 4-3.

"Sometimes, you can be too aggressive," said Victoria manager Alejandro Travieso. "You need to let the game come to you."

The ThunderSharks saw their win-loss record go to 24-21. At the same time, the HarbourCats fell to 22-23.
