Sidewinders Curb Aces, 6-2
|
Tucson picked up a win at Blues Stadium, bumping off the Reno Aces, 6-2. Pitcher Louis White was a major reason the Sidewinders emerged victorious. White, now 4-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. The losing streak for Reno has now reached 5 games.
Alejandro Madrid hit a 2-run triple off Gervino Cúper in the top of the fourth, which put the Sidewinders in front, 3-1. Madrid had 3 walks, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 2.
"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said White.
