Sidewinders Take Down Aces, 4-3
The Reno Aces got a superb performance from pitcher Victor Hayden, but the Tucson Sidewinders still won the game, 4-3. Hayden threw 7.1 innings allowing 3 runs. Tucson reliever Ivory Peressini picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Mancio Soto was saddled with the loss. B.J. Álvarez closed it out for his 4th save.

Tucson used the timely hitting of Don Grelle to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Sidewinders ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.

Reno manager Steve Kapp said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.

Tucson, at 17-25, holds down 8th place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division.
