Will Leach was terrific for the Evansville Triplets in his team's 5-0 triumph over the Sacramento River Cats. His performance earned Leach rave reviews. The winner was Leach. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Jake Rodriguez. The third-place Triplets sport a record of 25-17.

Braden Robinson had a big 2-run home run for the Triplets in the top of the fourth inning. With Evansville leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a cutter from Jake Rodriguez, who is tied for 2nd in the PCL in strikeouts with 51, and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Triplets on top, 4-0.

Robinson attributed the win to his team's "grittiness."
