Wranglers Lose, 6-1, at Principal Park
|
Oklahoma City had no answer for 24-year old right-handed pitcher Andrew DeMore. The Iowa Cubs starter stymied Wranglers hitters, helping the Cubs cruise to victory, 6-1. Despite the win, the Cubs have a lousy 14-27 record.
Iowa took a 6-1 lead on John Brock's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Brock hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Oklahoma City pitcher HorĂ¡cio Santana visibly frustrated.
"It was a good win," said Iowa manager Tony Osorio. "Not without blemish, but good."
