Isotopes Drop Close One Late

The Oklahoma City Wranglers, behind a great outing from Vince Payne defeated the Albuquerque Isotopes, 2-1, at Wranglers Ballpark. The win was credited to 27-year old right-handed pitcher Ellis Fido in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Franklin Mancilla took the loss. Oklahoma City is now 18-20.
The decisive blow was delivered by Garnet Leverson in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 28-year old left-handed pitcher Franklin Mancilla to win the game for Oklahoma City. The home crowd went nuts.
"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Payne.
