Storm Chasers Upend Isotopes, 10-3
|
The Omaha Storm Chasers handed the Albuquerque Isotopes a loss at Isotopes Park. The final score was 10-3. Major production was provided by Randy Najera for Omaha. In addition to his 2 singles and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 2. He also added 1 walk. Carter Eich earned the save for Omaha. The Storm Chasers sport a record of 12-22.
John Benavides had a big solo home run for the Storm Chasers in the top of the fourth inning. With Omaha leading 3-2 and the bases empty, he got a sinker from Zach Kerwick and swatted a home run to right. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Storm Chasers ahead, 4-2.
"We came in and did what we needed to do," said Omaha manager Heath Chastain.
