River Cats Mow Down Sounds, 11-3

The home team gave the crowd at River Cats Ballpark something to cheer about.
The Sacramento River Cats routed the Nashville Sounds, 11-3, at River Cats Ballpark. Tony McGrath, who is tied for 5th in the PCL in triples with 2, was one of the hitting stars. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Sacramento. The winning pitcher was Justin Buterbaugh. His record now stands at 2-0. The left-hander went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits for the River Cats. Henry Tam closed it out for Sacramento, earning his 2nd save.
In the bottom of the sixth, Blake Bustamante delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Sacramento shortstop hit a 2-run single, putting the River Cats in front, 11-3.
"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Bustamante told the Sacramento Times.
Sacramento is now 17-18, Nashville 18-17.
