Baby Cakes Win at Evansville, 4-2

T.J. Gonzáles did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Evansville Triplets from being beaten, 4-2, to the New Orleans Baby Cakes at BB&T Stadium. Gonzáles went 2 for 2 with a double and 2 walks. The Baby Cakes, at 18-11, sit in first place in the Pacific Coast League American Divison.
Brutus Parra, who is tied for 3rd in the PCL in triples with 2, had a direct impact on the outcome. Parra contributed a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put New Orleans up, 4-0.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Parra told the New Orleans Bulletin.
