The El Paso Chihuahuas electrified the home crowd with a walk-off win.

The El Paso Chihuahuas got a stellar performance from pitcher Luka Freedom, who handcuffed the Omaha offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Southwest University park. The winner in relief was Frank McCoy. He is now 1-1. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings.

In the bottom of the ninth, with no one out and the game tied, 2-2, right fielder Ron Nester won it for El Paso. With a runner on 2nd, Nester hit a 1-2 sinker from Meyers Turner for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 3-2 win.

"This place sure got loud," said Kelly Ury, the El Paso manager.

The Chihuahuas improve their record to 18-12 with the win over Omaha.
