Storm Chasers Stick Chihuahuas with 4-1 Loss
|
Omaha turned a good effort from starter Tre Parker into a win over the El Paso Chihuahuas at Southwest University park. The final score was 4-1. Omaha pitcher Harry Vactor got the win. He's now 3-1. Brandon Shure was tagged with the loss. T.J. Eschenberg earned the save for Omaha, his 5th of the year.
Declan Olds, the 24-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Olds contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Omaha up, 3-1.
Olds said his team "played with determination."
The Storm Chasers go to 11-18, putting them 7th in the Pacific Coast League American Divison.
