Isotopes Win Nail-Biter, 1-0
|
Nat Hindman pitched a gem to lead Albuquerque to victory over the Inland Empire 66ers, 1-0, in 12 innings. Albuquerque reliever Kain Munim picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Jonathan Arvedsson was tagged with the loss. The win brings the Isotopes to 12-15, an inauspicious start for a team that made the playoffs last season.
The Isotopes got a clutch hit from right fielder Lyle Maturo. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Isotopes.
"What an exhilarating win!" said Maturo.
