Timm Stephenson, who is tied for 3rd in the PCL in innings pitched with 38.0, played a key role in a gritty 1-0 Omaha Storm Chasers win against the Sacramento River Cats. Declan Zant was called on to finish, recording his 6th save. Omaha has a mark of 14-12 after the win.

Kavan Alford, who leads the PCL in doubles with 9, had a direct impact on the outcome. Alford contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning to put Omaha up, 1-0.

"That's baseball," said Sacramento manager Brandon Holmes. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
