Streaking River Cats Win Another One, 8-3
|
The Sacramento River Cats had to overcome a big game from Inland Empire center fielder Graham Spassovic to leave Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark with a victory. And they did, winning, 8-3. Spassovic was 2 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3. Gus Baxter earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. The win has Sacramento at 14-9.
Dylan DeClerq, the Sacramento first baseman, contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to make the score 4-1, River Cats. For the game, DeClerq went 2-5 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"I feel like we're rolling now," DeClerq told the Sacramento Chronicle."The dugout is coming alive."
