Rainiers Eke Out 4-3 Win Versus Sacramento
|
In a close game at Cheney Stadium, the Tacoma Rainiers edged the Sacramento River Cats, 4-3. Tacoma second baseman Jake Ellis stood apart with his performance. He went 2 for 2 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. The hot start continues for the defending champion Rainiers. This was their 15th win in 22 games.
Ellis broke a deadlock in the bottom of the sixth inning, when he hit a sacrifice fly, putting Tacoma up, 3-2.
"Both teams played hard," said Tacoma manager Steve Osborn.
