El Paso Chihuahuas starter Ben Paulsen pitched a strong game against the Nashville Sounds at Southwest University park, leading the Chihuahuas to victory, 4-2. Paulsen got the win, improving to 1-3. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Giles Koster closed the game out for El Paso, earning his 2nd save.

El Paso got a big at-bat from Maracaibo, Venezuela native Hector Vallejo, who in the bottom of the second hit a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Chihuahuas ahead, 3-0.

Vallejo told the El Paso Daily News: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."

The Sounds drop to 8-13 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2062 season.
