Triplets Thrill Fans with 3-2 Win
The Evansville Triplets topped the Iowa Cubs, 3-2, in 12 innings at BB&T Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Evansville pitcher Stan Wilbur. The win went to Quinn Whitworth in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Vince McGovern took the loss. The win puts Evansville at 11-10.

Evansville got a clutch hit from Gonzalo Canseco. The center fielder launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Iowa manager Tony Osorio.
